Chris Carter
Associate Director and Associate Portfolio Manager
Chris personally oversees the design and construction of investment portfolios and financial plans. He often acts as a facilitator between a client and their respective team of trusted professionals (accountants, estate planning lawyers etc.) to ensure a comprehensive approach is taken to finding the best solution for each client’s unique circumstances.
As a licensed Associate Portfolio Manager, Chris has the ability to make investment decisions on a client’s behalf. He is one of only 25 ScotiaMcLeod advisors across Canada to be awarded this designation and was chosen for this title based on his record of sound business ethics, his proven investment management success and his continued education accomplishments in the securities industry.
His career in the financial services industry began with ScotiaMcLeod in 1993 and he has worked in the North Vancouver branch since it opened in 1998. Chris holds senior professional designations (CIM, FCSI) from both the Canadian Securities Institute and the internationally recognized Investment Management Consultants Association (CIMA).
For ten years he has played an active role on
Global Television’s Morning News as business analyst and financial commentator. He can be seen on Global B.C. weekday mornings between 6:15am and 8:15am.
